According to GOP Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, who serves as the chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, FBI Director Christopher Wray has reportedly confirmed the existence of an unclassified document. This document allegedly contains information about an alleged bribery scheme involving then-US President Joe Biden and a foreign national. Comer, along with Senate Judiciary Ranking Member Chuck Grassley, stated in a letter to Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland in early May that they believe the FBI record provides a detailed account of how the alleged criminal scheme operated and its intended purpose. They further asserted that the document describes a purported criminal scheme wherein then-US President Biden and a foreign national engaged in the exchange of money for policy decisions.
